Our commitments

ballerine dans la ville

Working together to liberate mobility services for greater inclusivity, sustainability and convenience.

Our purpose

Mobility in the public interest means transportation networks that serve the needs of every citizen in a user-friendly way.

  • It means liberating mobility from technological, budgetary and geographical limitations and giving every user the opportunity to plan their own journeys in the most efficient way possible.
  • It means building inclusive systems and infrastructure that gives everyone the ability to live freely while on the move, whatever their physical or economic situation.
  • It means supporting the ecological transition towards more collective, streamlined and reliable transport that is prosperous, future-facing and adapted to the environment.

This is our purpose and we will achieve it together with all those who work every day to improve mobility.

Matawan pledges

Our three core drivers

  • Promoting single-ticket mobility by creating synergies between passenger transport networks, shared mobility and infrastructure
  • Serving all cities and regions to simplify travel and improve the quality of network services
  • Building unrestricted, inclusive and sustainable mobility services that address societal and environmental challenges

Matawan in action

Since 2022, Matawan has been a signatory of the UN Global Compact. We are committed to a process of continuous improvement based on 10 principles relating to human rights, international labor standards, the environment and the fight against corruption.
Out of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Matawan’s approach is especially relevant to Goal 11: to make cities inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable. We are committed to supporting this SDG, which promotes access to safe, accessible, affordable and sustainable transport systems for all, through the development of passenger transport, with a particular attention given to the needs of people in vulnerable situations.
Faced with the massive challenge that is climate change, Matawan carried out its first carbon footprint assessment of its greenhouse gas emissions (scopes 1, 2 and 3). We are committed to delivering an action plan that reduces the greenhouse gas emissions of our operations.
Matawan placed in the 91st percentile of all companies evaluated by EcoVadis, with a corporate social responsibility rating of 69/100. EcoVadis is a leading authority in sustainability, assessing companies on environmental, social, and ethical performance. In the IT sector, we placed in the top 5%, earning a Silver Medal. Our high scores reflect the structured, proactive approach we take to implementing and monitoring our sustainable growth strategies. Our commitment to CSR will continue to guide us toward continuous improvement in the future.
In order to limit energy consumption, Matawan has been implementing its own energy sobriety plan. We are committed to optimizing temperature management and building lighting as well as reducing the energy consumption of digital equipment.
As a signatory of the French Tech Parity Pact, Matawan is dedicated to gender equality and diversity. This means achieving gender balance on the company board, training managers on diversity and harassment issues, and implementing support frameworks for employees returning from parental leave. Matawan is also a signatory of the Commitment Charter for Employees Over 50, which safeguards the inclusion of seasoned professionals in the workplace, ensuring a supportive environment that values their expertise.
