Gilles Trantoul devient le CMO de Matawan

Matawan, champion of "MobTech" and member of the French Tech 120 for the past 4 years, affirms its ambitions in the mobility market and recruits a new Chief Marketing Officer to accelerate its growth strategy in France and internationally.

In a fragmented and fast-changing industry, Gilles Trantoul’s mission will be to identify the growth levers that will position Matawan as a leader in the mobility market, through an ambitious marketing approach, an external growth strategy and the development of a strong ecosystem of partnerships.

"I'm delighted to welcome Gilles to our Management Committee. His personality, expertise and track record with a global technology leader will be invaluable as we write the next chapter in our history. Thanks to technology, we fight every day to improve the mobility experience of passengers and facilitate network operations. In the face of these global challenges, there's no doubt that Gilles will help us to drive forward the global mobility ecosystem,"

Jérôme Tredan, CEO of Matawan.

Matawan is also changing the scope of two of its historical associates to meet its strategic challenges.

Laurence Medioni appointed Chief Sustainability Officer. Mobility is by nature a topic with social, societal and environmental impact, and CSR is at the heart of Matawan’s strategy. With the award of a silver medal in the EcoVadis CSR performance evaluation in April, and the efforts made historically, the scale-up aims to be exemplary in this area.

Nathalie Azoulay has strengthened her role as Public Affairs Director to strengthen the company’s relationship with decision-makers, influencers and all those who contribute to building tomorrow’s mobility.

An expert in technology and business transformation

Gilles Trantoul, X-Telecom, began his career in 2007 with the Boston Consulting Group, where he developed strategy and consulting expertise in various sectors and countries. In particular, he worked in India for a year and quickly focused on the technology sector.

In 2013, he joined Amadeus, the leader in technology for the travel industry, where he played an active role in the company’s strategy, as well as in the development of acquisitions and strategic partnerships, before joining the distribution business. There, he led several global functions before setting up Product Marketing and managing the investment portfolio as Vice President Product Marketing and Portfolio Strategy.

In 2024, he decided to join Matawan, won over by the team, the company’s trajectory and the ambition of the project.

"Matawan is a collective adventure with a purpose that aims to facilitate mobility and intermodality within territories via innovative technology. I was won over by the strength of the project in a fast-growing market, the team and the track record, with a strong position in France and international development in several strategic markets. Matawan has the potential to become the technological leader in the mobility industry, and I'm delighted to be joining the team to put my experience and energy to work on this exciting project"
