MAIOR, Italian specialist in the optimization of public transport operations planning, and Matawan, officially enter into a strategic partnership. This collaboration aims to improve the quality, accessibility and efficiency of travel information in Italy and beyond by integrating cutting-edge ITS technologies.

Through this partnership, MAIOR and Matawan will combine their expertise in the world of public transport, supporting service quality through passenger information for more sustainable and user-friendly mobility. The joint initiative, which has seen great success in Italy, particularly with TPER, the largest public transport company in the Emilia-Romagna region, is now set to expand throughout Italy and other international markets. The MAIOR Suite together with Matawan’s WanReport will provide a solution to offer a modern, powerful platform for delivering accurate, real-time information to passengers, improving both the customer experience and operational performance.

"In order to do more for our customers, we strongly believe that collaboration within our ecosystem is essential to better support our customers. In MAIOR, we have found a partner who shares a similar vision and who is willing to bring the best solutions to the market. With their strong presence in Italy and ours in France, we have a great opportunity to bring innovation to the mobility sector"

Improving service quality through passenger information

WanReport is one among the four pillars of Matawan’s offering dedicated to service quality through passenger information. WanReport automatically generates all passenger information materials, controls reference data, monitors and manages network infrastructure, and manages multi-channel communication campaigns. It provides real-time updates and alerts for travelers, while making operations more efficient by eliminating manual changes. The solution is already deployed at over 125,000 bus stops in France, Switzerland, Spain and Italy, where it will equip 10,000 stops in Ferrara and Bologna over the next four years.

"At MAIOR, we are focused on driving efficiencies in operations planning for public transport authorities and operators, while also enhancing the passenger experience to make services more attractive and seamless. Together with Matawan, we’ll go beyond static schedules, providing passengers with accurate, timely updates whenever needed. This not only improves service quality but also enhances the overall travel experience, making it smoother and more reliable. Our partnership reinforces our shared vision for a more sustainable and efficient mobility future"
